A warm welcome back to those year 7 members who have decided to continue with the programme.
This years format is quite different from last year. Year 6 and 7 have different workshops and as year 7 members the focus for you is now more on specific sports rather than multi skills. The academy is considerably smaller this year which will have a beneficial effect on your development.
Each workshop will introduce you to 2 new sports and if you want to pursue your interest you will be given information about a club that you can join.
JANUARY COMPETITION
Martin Brockman is one of our coaches and in the Summer he won a Bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in the Decathlon .This months competition is about him!
1. Find out 3 interesting facts about Martin.
2. Find out which events are involved in the Decathlon.
3.Find out about the scoring system for the Decathlon.
Present the information in poster form and bring it with you, with name and team name on, to February's workshop. All entries will get points for their team and the best entries will get extra points!!

On the 9th May Take Pride CIC organised a trip to the finals of the School Games which were held at the Olympic Park. Finalists are at the very top of their sport and are the Olympians of the future.
