YA Challenge 1 - Personal Best

Challenge 1 - Personal Best

This challenge has been created in collaboration with Jane Packham, Gravesham 2012 Officer for the London Games.  With the recent launch of the adiZone at the Gravesend Promenade we created a challenge that could be easily run by the Ambassadors in their schools using three selected activities from the adiZone.

The adiZone is a FREE outdoor multi purpose gym offering fitness equipment, basketball hoops, traversing wall and freestyle area for anyone to access.

Young Ambassadors have until the end of June month to find their best top ten performers across the following three activities:

  • shoot the most basketballs in a hoop in 1min 20secs
  • do the most sit ups in 20secs
  • do the most press ups in 20secs

Bronze Ambassadors will run this Challenge for their Year 3 or 4 pupils.  Silver Ambassadors will run this Challenge for their Year 7 pupils.  The Ambassadors will total the scores across each activity for each pupil taking part in the challenge.  The top ten performers from each school will be invited to take part in a celebration podium event taking place at the adiZone on the following dates 13th/14th & 15th July (4pm - 6pm).

Information will follow shortly to allocate which date schools will take part.
