Sports Ambassadors Needed

The search is on to find Young Sports Leaders who can bring the inspiration and magic of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to other young people in their School and Community.

We are looking for Young Sports Leaders who will be the best advocates, role models and leaders of other young people creating and providing opportunities both within their school and local community setting. 

What is involved ?

  • Young Sports Leaders nominated to become Ambassadors will have completed either Play Leader Scheme, Young Leader Award, Junior Sports Leader Award, Community Sports Leader Award or Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
  • A programme of support and training to reflect the Young Ambassadors needs
  • All Young Ambassadors will sign up for Step Into Sport Programme and Online Passport
  • Menu of volunteer opportunities in school and community
  • Young Ambassadors will create Steering Group within their own school
  • All Young Ambassadors under the Leadership Academy will form the very first Young Ambassador Consortium for Gravesham linking closely with the local council Gravesham 2012 Officer
  • Young Ambassadors will receive a corporate kit
  • Signposting to provide leadership ‘graduates’ to support lifelong volunteering and pathways into careers in sport.
