Through Young Ambassador Britain, they have created something called YA-ing and we challenged our Young Ambassadors to form the letters Y and A together in a series of photographs to represent everything the Young Ambassador movement is about.
YA-ing has been put into four categories designed to capture the scale and impact of the Young Ambassador role.
YA-ing in your community...
Grab a friend, family member or fellow Young Ambassador and put your local community on the map. YA in front of a local landmark like a statue, an iconic building or tourist attraction to represent the impact that the Young Ambassador movement is having in your area.
YA-ing with a star...
If you're lucky enough to spot or work with a celebrity take the opportunity to YA with them! Whether it's an Olympian, Paralympian, local celebrity or worldwide star, ask them if they will YA with you. These pictures will help show how the Young Ambassador movement can involve everyone.
YA-ing on mass...
As the title suggests, scale is everything in this category. Your challenge is to get as many people YA-ing with you as possible. Target young people in the school you will work with, friends or even family and get creative! Whether you are YA-ing together or spelling out a giant Y and an A on the floor, all that matters is that the picture shows the number of people who are benefiting from the Young Ambassador movement.
YA-ing to reflect the Olympic and Paralympic values
Excellence, Friendship, Respect, Determination, Courage, Inspiration and Equality – as a Young Ambassador you are aware of how the Olympic and Paralympic Games can be applied both in and out of sport. In this category your challenge is to portray one of the Olympic or Paralympic values whilst you YA. This is your chance to get creative and show what those values mean to you.
